In the Maidu Native American language, Koo Loo Loo means “bird,” symbolizing peace and purity in their culture. The Sutter Buttes of California were once home to Native Americans who epitomized the concept of “organic,” leaving no negative impact on the land. The Sutter Buttes mountain range, comprised of volcanic slopes, is home to 100% organic Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes used in our Koo Loo Loo wines.
